People are the thing I photograph the most. Any why not? As a species, we are all fascinated with other people.
People have been a main focal point of art all the way back to cave drawings. We see photographs of people everywhere we go; so much so, seeing them has become almost a subconscious experience. In magazines, on the sides of buses, and saturated throughout or social media feeds that we scour through each day.
Learning the art of photographing people has been hard but fulfilling. Human beings are naturally the most responsive subjects you can put in front of a camera. And yet because we are so familiar with what a person looks like, they can be the toughest to get really right. Capturing a beautiful landscape has its own challenges, but capturing truly unique photos of human beings can be one of the most challenging and gratifying experiences in the art of photography.
